The Mini Meet East 2025 Committee proudly announces the 50th Anniversary of Mini Meet East, from July 10 to July 13, 2025, being held in scenic Reading, Pennsylvania, the site of the very first Mini Meet East in 1975.   

 The host hotel for the event is the Holiday Inn - Airport, just a few minutes from the historic commercial district in Reading and across the street from the Reading Airport, site of several of our events.

 Reading, located in north-central Pennsylvania is perfect for all activities.

 Come out and enjoy meeting new friends and socializing with old friends while showing off your Minis, your MINIs and your driving skills. The Meet is more than just a driving event, as it’s a get together of like-minded people who share a passion for the Mini car scene.  You will have a chance to experience the unique geography sites located in and around Reading.

 You can participate in the Car Show, Autocross, Funkhana , Car Rally and the final closing Awards Banquet and much, much more. Other activities will be available during the day or evenings as well. We welcome all Mini/MINIs, regardless of their build date.

JOHN TWIST'S FRIDAY AFTERNOON "ROLLING TECH SESSION"


John Twist began his automotive repair career in 1973. After training in England, he opened University Motors repair shop in January 1975 and serviced MG vehicles for 42 years in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

John's quality of experience, intricate technical skills, and willingness to train others are legendary in the MG community. He was inducted in the British Sports Cars Hall of Fame in 2017.

On Friday afternoon, John will hold his famous “Rolling Tech Session” where cars will pull under John’s tent and he will do his best to diagnose issues with your BMC A or B series engines regarding timing, carb settings, noises, etc. and adjusting as appropriate.

Committee Member Karl Strauch (from the Mid-America Diehard Mini Enthusiasts Network or M.A.D.M.E.N) has held a fun event during prior Mini Meet East events and we’d like to continue this tradition; and the rules are pretty simple.

Take any route that you want to Mini Meet. Buy one thing that intrigues you in a tourist trap in each state or province that you drive through. Keep your receipts to prove your routing. Once you arrive, we will have a special area for you to display the treasures you bought along your route, and they will be judged by people’s choice at the event. Sounds like fun, eh?

MINI MEET EAST 2025 CAR SHOW

Reading Airport Carpark  /  Friday July 11, 10AM-Noon 

We will have the now typical Car Show at MME 50:  It will be a participant ballot to select award winners. Ballots will be in your registration packet.  Spaces on the show field will be by class so that roughly comparable cars are in the same area to make judging easier.  There will be people to help you find the correct area to park your car on the show field.

The Class list are in the "drop-downs" below. If you don’t understand what class your car falls into, talk to our Car Show person, Paul Strieby, ([email protected]) and together you should be able to know what class your car belongs in.

During the car show, at approximately 10:30AM, Paul will offer a group walk of the show field, pointing out differences between the classes and answering questions.  If you are interested meet Paul near Class 1.

The tours will be avialable on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 and 1:30 to 3:00, as well as on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 (if you're not planning to attend the Autocross) and from 2:30 to 4:00 after the Panoramic photo.

Tour of Gary Daniels' Mini Barn (optional)

Mini owner and collector Gary Daniels will be opening his "Mini Barn" for two tours on Saturday, July 12. In addition to the cars, Gary has a number of Paddy Hopkirk memorabilia items.

The tours will be avialable from 10:30 to 11:30 and 3:30 to 4:30 and the barn is about a 45 minute drive from the Reading Airport.

These tours are limited to 35 people and sign up forms for each of the two tours will be in Registration on Thursday and Friday morning.

Any Beer Drinkers in the Group? (optional)

Moke owner (times 2) and Reading resident is the owner of Pagoda City Brewing in Reading (named after the Reading Pagoda on the hill).

Since Saturday night is a "free" night on our schedule, why not consider heading down to the brewery with some of your mates for a pint. As you can see by the photos, the brewery has a true Double-Decker as part of the patio. How fun is this?
